1000 Paper Cranes.
Paper cranes represent happiness, joy, love, and celebration of life. They also represent good fortune, hope, wisdom, healing, and peace. They're normally seen as a way to show support during a hard time, like an illness or as a prayer for someone's recovery. Traditionally, they are given to a newly married couple by the father. The father is then wishing a thousand years of happiness and prosperity upon the couple.
The project was started after discovering more of the meaning behind the crane. Not only is it a way to show support through a sudden sickness, but also a way to show that you're always there for a person suffering from a mental illness and saying that they can beat it and get better.
This is an upcoming project of photographing 1000 paper cranes. More of the project can be seen on the facebook page.
